Sample Question 2Mr. Bjord has a jar of jelly beans in his office. Ms. I.M.Asneek is a new employee who comes to talk to Mr. Bjord. Now, Bjord wants to know if Ms.Asneek can guess how many jelly beans are there in the jar. Asneek asks Bjord for 10 minutes alone with the jelly beans. Knowing that Asneek couldn't possibly count all those jelly beans in 10 minutes, he agrees and leaves her alone with the jelly beans. So, Asneek takes a cup, scoops up some jelly beans and with a white-out pen, proceeds to mark the 64 jelly beans in the cup. She then puts all the marked jelly beans back into the jar and shakes the jar thoroughly. Asneek, then, takes the plastic cup and scoops up some jelly beans for the second time. Asneek, being exceptionally good at mental arithmetic, quickly arrives at an estimate for the total number of jelly beans in the jar. And just in time! Because at that moment, Bjord enters the room and sees Asneek with a cup of jelly beans in her hand. Bjords starts laughing and asks-"what! did you think you could count all the jelly beans?! you fool! OK so how far did you get? How many in the cup?!" To which Asneek answered -"There are 65 jelly beans in this cup. And 208 jelly beans in the jar". Bjord was shocked that Asneek arrived at an answer that was so close to the actual number of jelly beans! So, What portion of the 208 jelly beans was marked?
