    Ascaroidea Canine and Feline (not as common) intestinal round worm. Rough, pitted edges. Thick shelled and mamillated. Cat version is identical except smaller. The feline version ends in Cati, give the full name for the canine version.

    Ascaroidea   Canine and Feline intestinal roundworm. Almost oval shaped. Smooth outer shell with a hyaline (ground glass) nucleus.

    Ascaroidea Porcine roundworm. Very rough "chainsaw" like shell. Can leave "milk spots" on the liver.

    Ascaroidea   Equine roundworm. Very similar to Toxascaris leonina except larger and darker. May cause gut impactions and ruptures leading to fatal peritonitis in horses.

Similar looking to hookworm in dogs/cats. This specific equine roundworm has adults that can be found in the cecum and large intestine. Damage to the mesenteric artery may be observed through necropsy.

    Strongyloidea Canine hookworm. Oval with "bubbles" in the nucleus. This hookworm occurs more commonly in the tropic and warm temperate areas and may also be called the "Southern Hookworm". It looks very similar to the feline only version.
