Social Awareness Quiz On Combined Fight Of People Of India Against Covid 19

The Aarogya Setu app is a mobile application developed by the Government of India (GOI) to connect essential health services with the people of India in our combined fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. It serves as a contact tracing app that uses Bluetooth and GPS technology to alert users if they have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus. The app also provides important information and updates about COVID-19, self-assessment tools, and helpline numbers. Overall, the Aarogya Setu app aims to help in the containment and prevention of the spread of the virus in India.

Plasma therapy is a clinical trial in which blood is transferred from recovered COVID-19 patients to a coronavirus patient who is in critical condition. This therapy involves extracting plasma from the blood of recovered individuals, which contains antibodies that can help fight against the virus. By transfusing this plasma into severely ill patients, it is hoped that the antibodies will boost their immune response and aid in their recovery.

The given answer is correct because the Central for Disease Control and Prevention has indeed added muscle pain, chills, headache, and diarrhea as new symptoms of COVID-19 affected patients. These symptoms have been recognized as potential indicators of the virus, along with the more commonly known symptoms such as fever, cough, and difficulty breathing. Therefore, all of the listed symptoms are correct according to the updated guidelines from the CDC.

The correct answer is China. SARS, a severe acute respiratory syndrome, was first identified in the Guangdong province of China in 2002. It quickly spread to other parts of the country and then to other countries around the world. The outbreak was eventually contained, but it caused significant illness and death globally.

The correct answer is "All above". This means that all of the mentioned actions should not be done in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Wearing the same mask multiple times can increase the risk of contamination, taking antibiotics without a doctor's prescription can lead to antibiotic resistance, smoking can weaken the respiratory system, and alcohol consumption can impair judgment and weaken the immune system. Therefore, it is important to avoid all of these actions in order to effectively combat the spread of the virus.

The National Institute of Virology is located in Pune, Maharashtra.

On February 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced a name for the new Coronavirus disease COVID-19. This announcement marked the official naming of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, which had previously been referred to by various names such as "2019-nCoV" and "Wuhan coronavirus." The naming of the disease as COVID-19 was done to provide a standardized and specific name that does not stigmatize any particular geographic location, animal, or group of people.

Coronavirus disease primarily spreads through droplets. When an infected person coughs, sneezes, talks, or exhales, respiratory droplets containing the virus are released into the air. These droplets can then be inhaled by nearby individuals, leading to infection. It is important to maintain physical distance and wear masks to prevent the transmission of these droplets.

SARS-CoV-2 is the official name of the Coronavirus disease. This name was given by the World Health Organization (WHO) to the virus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic. SARS-CoV-2 stands for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2, indicating its similarity to the virus that caused the SARS outbreak in 2003. It is important to use the correct terminology to accurately refer to the virus and the disease it causes.

The correct answer is "All above" because all of the listed diseases (Dengue, HIV, Influenza, and Ebola) are caused by viruses. Therefore, all of them can be considered as viral diseases.

The given answer "All above" is correct because all the statements mentioned in the options are true. Viruses are not considered living organisms as they cannot replicate without a host cell. They are the most abundant biological entities on the planet. There is no cure for viral infections, but vaccinations can help prevent the spread of viruses. Rabies, herpes, hantavirus, and HIV are all well-known deadly diseases caused by viruses.

The correct answer is "All above" because all the mentioned solutions - 70% ethyl alcohol, sodium hypochlorite at 0.5%, soap solution, and diluted chlorine solution at 0.05% - are effective in disinfecting the house of COVID-19 patients. These solutions have been recommended by health authorities as they have the ability to kill the virus on surfaces and reduce the risk of transmission. It is important to follow proper guidelines and instructions while using these disinfectants to ensure their effectiveness and safety.

The given answer is correct because all of the statements mentioned are true and relevant to the question. Poliovirus does belong to the picornaviridae family, its genus is Enterovirus, and its species is also Enterovirus. Additionally, both IPV (inactivated polio vaccine) and OPV (oral polio vaccine) are used as vaccinations against poliovirus. Therefore, all of the statements are correct and relate to the question.

MERS-Cov stands for Middle East Respiratory Syndrome. This is a viral respiratory illness caused by the MERS coronavirus. It was first identified in 2012 in Saudi Arabia and has since been reported in several other countries. The virus primarily affects the respiratory system and can cause severe respiratory symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath, and pneumonia. It is important to note that MERS-Cov is not the same as the common cold or flu, and it has a higher fatality rate.

Infectious diseases can be caused by various factors, including bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi. These microorganisms can directly or indirectly spread from one person to another, leading to the transmission of infectious diseases. Therefore, the correct answer is "All above" as all the options listed are potential causes of infectious diseases.

Women who are wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and have tested positive for COVID-19 can still breastfeed. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the benefits of breastfeeding outweigh the potential risks of transmission of the virus through breast milk. However, precautions should be taken, such as wearing a mask and practicing good hand hygiene before and after breastfeeding, to reduce the risk of transmission to the baby. It is important for women to consult with healthcare professionals for personalized advice and guidance.

The correct answer is that both options 1 and 2 are correct. Coronavirus is a large family of viruses, and it belongs to the family of Nidovirus. This means that there are many different types of coronaviruses, with the most well-known one being the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) that causes the COVID-19 disease.

The correct answer is 31 Dec 2019. This is when the pneumonia of unknown cause in Wuhan, China was first reported to the WHO country office.

All of the above antiretrovirals can be used to prevent COVID-19 infection. LPV/r, also known as lopinavir/ritonavir, is a combination medication used to treat HIV and has shown potential in inhibiting the replication of the COVID-19 virus. Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ-200) has been widely studied and used as a potential treatment and prophylactic for COVID-19, although its effectiveness is still under debate. Azithromycin 500, an antibiotic, has also been investigated for its potential in treating COVID-19. However, it is important to note that the use of these medications for COVID-19 prevention should be done under medical supervision and in accordance with current guidelines and recommendations.

The correct answer is helix because tobacco mosaic virus has a rod-like shape that resembles a helix or a spiral. This shape is formed by the arrangement of the virus's genetic material and protein coat. The helical structure allows the virus to efficiently infect and replicate within plant cells.
