While Marty Shea of Madison RV Supercenter and Jim Sheldon formally of Monaco RV were both co-chairmen of the Committee on Excellence, they did not serve as task force chairmen. Ellen Kietzmann served as the Customer Warranty Task Force Chairman. The task force looked carefully at how warranty issues impacted the RV consumer experience and made recommendations for how warranty issues could be handled more quickly.

Dixie RV Superstore was once credited as being the oldest RV dealer. It was founded in 1964 but Dodd RV was founded earlier in 1956, making it the oldest RV dealership in Virginia from the list above. Snyder was founded in 1964 and McGeorge RV was founded a mere 40 years ago. That said, the employees at McGeorge can claim the title of getting nearly every quiz question in this quiz (since its inception) correct. Great job Louis & Brian)

SunLine Coach, formerly of Denver, Pennsylvania, began manufacturing truck campers in 1964 and later added high-end, fifth wheel trailers to its line. The company closed its doors in November 2006.

High River Autoplex & RV Marine won the award in 2014. While the company is apparently exceptional at selling motorhomes, it’s not so good at making websites. When you go to the company’s main page and click any of the following: about us, history, staff or news links, you will see sentences like the following: “Established in [year], High River Autoplex & RV Marine has grown to become a premier [make A] dealer in the [market area] region.”

The premier issue of the magazine hit RV dealerships in April and is scheduled to be a quarterly publication in 2015. According to John Spaulding, vice president of marketing, the publication is part of Stag’s effort to provide better information for RV retailers in Canada on best practices, new parts/accessories and business trends.

RV Trade Digest, a Cygnus Business Media publication, published its last magazine in December of 2008. While both Dana Nelsen and Greg Gerber served as Editor-in-Chief for the publication at one time, Jackie Kimmel was the last Editor-in-Chief of the magazine. Originally hired as an entry-level writer, Kimmel managed to produce a single 36-page issue before the company let her go and decided to halt publication of the magazine forever. Czoch was publisher of the magazine but never served as Editor-in-Chief.

On May 13, 2011, CCI acquired 5.7 million shares of TRC, equaling an 84.6 percent interest in the company. At the time of acquisition, Craig Floyd, the national sales manager of the Specialty Vehicles market for TRC said, “What this allows us to do is to offer more value-added products, have more financial backing, become more dynamic in the market place and take advantage of growth opportunities.”
