Festival films

New films. I enjoy guessing and naming the next classic before the critics do.

Gimme some action, baby! If my pulse is not up to 120 beats per minute by the middle of the first act, I want my money back.

I just love movies! On the weekends I can watch 4 or 5, especially if the weather is bad. Do TV shows count?

3. Where do you usually eat?

New ethnic restaurants

New places. I like guessing the ingredients and cooking methods.

What do you mean? Wherever I want!

I love trying exotic foods. Ever had pickled alligator tongue in a spicy Cajun sauce?

I shop for food in eco-friendly organic food markets

Who wants to waste time on eating? Some popcorn will do it for me (especially if you throw in some ice dream for dessert)

5. What is your fantasy holiday?

A photo/safari where you get to track down wild animals and discover their lairs

Long. Very long.

Fresh but warm with a steady, not gusty breeze, and frequent rains, but only at nights

Parachuting, surfing, hang-gliding, cave-digging, mountain climbing (without a safety line--WOW!)

A Greek island cruise with a series of lectures on ancient Greek history, literature and philosophy by an Oxford professor

I'm into "going native"--living like the locals, learning their language, ways and traditions

6. What kind of learner are you?

Depends on the type of material, conditions, and my mental state

Learning is a conscious process that forces my mind forward and out-of-the-box

Negligent. But when I need to catch up I can easily pull an all-nighter or two, or even three. Just shoot me full of Red Bull.

Learning as an independent discovery

All learning is partly a game. The bigger the game part, the better for me!

7. What do you do when you are rushed?

Need to keep up with the times, baby! Wrap it up and go on.

I tend to get stressed and annoyed

I analyze who is doing this and try to find their hidden agenda

I grab as much as I can in the time given

I try to figure out why I didn't have enough time

If someone wants to rush me, they need to catch up with me first!

8. What kind of villain do you love to hate?

I like intelligent villains who can rival intelligent heroes. Look at Professor Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes. Unmatched!

A little illegal gambling or bootlegging, maybe a little union corruption, and, yes, the irresistible fedora makes a great villain

A villain needs to be unpredictable and dangerous. Really dangerous. Like Norman Bates in Psycho.

I have always admired the Dickensonian depiction of Bill Sykes. Loathsome beyond words.

I am afraid to even think her name in the broad daylight: Annie Wilkes, from Misery.

9. If you could take any three items on an uninhabited island, what would be your choice?

Forget packing! When do I leave?

Aftersun body lotion, a lobster cracker, and a bottle of white wine to complement the shellfish

IPhone, iPad, sunglasses

Vitamin B, D, E complex, antibacterial ointment and a cooler to keep my supply of probiotic yogurts

A six-pack, no, a case of light beer, a ton of salt to preserve game, plenty of trinkets to trade with the locals, and my collection of DVDs.

Night vision googles, camouflaged fatigues, and a fingerprint kit

10. What is your attitude toward fashion?

A sense of fashion is a demonstration of superb taste

Fashion is so much fun! There are so many textures and shape and colors. You can even do a Lady Gaga!

12. How do you behave at parties?

The more, the merrier! And I want to talk to everybody

It's a great opportunity for noticing and overhearing things (purely by accident, of course)

I usually try to talk to new, interesting people

I single out truly stylish individuals and see if there are people I don't yet know

There is a group of acquaintances that I like and I tend to hang around with them

The party is there for me to enjoy and I'm going to pull out all the stops, baby!

I try to socialize with older, quieter colleagues

13. What do you do when you are upset?

I analyze the situation and try to extract lessons from it

I cry and shout and may even throw a few chairs around - this way you get it all out quicker

I retire into a special place I enjoy and contemplate the situation

I tend to become rather critical of the world and the people in it

I clean the house and organize things

I go back in time and piece together the events that led to the situation

I make myself even more upset so that it will pass sooner

14. What is your attitude towards work?

Work is a big part of our lives - you better enjoy what you do!

If the rights and responsibilities could be renegotiated, I would be more satisfied

Work can be fun, too! Even a the worst times, there are friends, and lunches and drinks.

I prefer to experiment with creative, unusual occupations

Sometimes I "live" at work day and night, and sometimes I can't scrape enough enthusiasm to even go there

Work gives fantastic opportunities for professional growth

15. If you wanted a new pet, what kind would it be?

I could see having a monkey. They're fascinating creatures.

Definitely a well-trained Doberman Pinscher

I would like to have a huge, fat, fluffy Persian cat

I'm not sure I would want to have a pet. Certainly not in my apartment!

Chihuahuas are so hopelessly passé! Perhaps a Terrier.

Could I adopt a dolphin? They're so smart and so much fun!

The deficit of emotional warmth

A harp

A jazz band with a contemporary edge

A really loud drum kit! Wow, wouldn't I like to have that at home!

I like to guess the sounds produced by unusual instruments, like the dungchen, the long Tibetan horn

18. How do you celebrate your birthday?

I retire into a library and have a "me" day with my true friends - books!

Music, light, booze, strippers...I better not go on

I invite all my friends on a treasure hunt. And no favorites, even on that day.

If I could only find an adequate party organizer, but alas!

Every year I meet with my friends in a new, trendy theme bar

Fireworks, strobe lights, acrobats...I'd even have a live bear at my party, if I could swing it
