What's Your Saving Style?

1. When making a purchase, you seek out a coupon, deal, discount or sale:

Always—I never pay retail!

Yes--and if I find a good one, I'll share it with my friends

Definitely and if it's a really good deal I'll stock up!

Sometimes...

2. You stumble across an AWESOME deal. The first thing you do is:

Definitely use it. I can't pass up savings!

Check to see if there's anything I need and if so definitely take advantage of the deal.

Post it on my blog, tweet it to my followers and/or email it to my entire contact list.

Maybe use it, maybe not.

3. You do your holiday shopping:

No earlier than December 1st

The day after Christmas to score the best savings for next year's holiday.

By consulting buyers guides, deal forums and shopping comparison sites.

Throughout the year, watching for sales and promotions for the items on my list.

4. Choose which represents your favorite type of deal:

Buy one, get one free--'cuz it's always good to have a back-up

Free shipping offer at a site I frequent regularly, because I can't stand having my savings canceled out by shipping charges.

A percentage off any purchase site-wide at a popular retailer because more of my friends will find it useful.

Sales or special offers--I can't deal with codes or other requirements.

5. You find a deal that saves you $10 on an order of $50 or more. You have $40 worth of items in your shopping cart. You:

Look for something that will bring your total up to $50 so you can score the savings. Like socks or toothpaste. Everyone needs socks or toothpaste, right?

Finalize the purchase as is or abandon your shopping cart entirely.

Contact your friends and see if there's anything they need from that retailer.

Scour the web for another deal with no minimum.

6. When it comes to deals and discounts:

I can't get enough of coupons and promo codes!

People seek me out for the scoop.

I have tons of resources bookmarked to help me save money.

Eh, whatever...

7. Your favorite internet activity:

Surfing

Reluctantly and infrequently

Buy it NOW 'cuz you can't stand waiting!

Wait until later in the season when the price drops.

Look for which store has it for less—and also search for a promo code.

Network your contacts to see what they think.

11. You're wearing something brand new and a friend compliments you. Your response:

You thank them and secretly gloat about how much money you saved.

You tell them you're glad they like it because you bought two. "Guess what you're getting for your birthday?"

You tell them where you got it, how much it cost, and where they can find a promo code to get it cheap.

You answer that you don't know where it came from. Your significant other bought it and made you wear it.
