2. With some of the more complex skills (gap-fillers) that the trainer may ask you to do, does it matter whether you can do them easily or not?

Explanation

Absolutely! It doesn't matter whether you are good at those tricky skills or gap-fillers that the trainer might ask you to try - they are great fun to do, and they keep you moving and getting fitter - some skills take a long time to master - so keep it up - you're doing really well :-)

3. Which of the following practices is strongly encouraged during every SoccerFit session by the trainer?

Explanation

Go at your own pace during SoccerFit - take a break when ever you want (you do not need to OK it with the trainer), drink plenty of fluids (especially water).

NOTE - For safety reasons heading of the ball is not practised at SoccerFit.

4. The SoccerFit trainer may encourage you to get 500 'touches' of the ball before the start of the SoccerFit Game Experience. Why?

Explanation

Soccer players often talk about being 'sharp' during a game and by getting in plenty of passes, juggling, dribbling or soccer tricks before the Game Experience, you too will be 'sharper'. Ask the trainer about the SoccerFit 'Gap Fillers' if you want to work on some cool individual skills.

Submit
5. If you are asked to be the 'Captain' of a team during the SoccerFit Game experience, should you say 'yes' or 'no'.

Explanation

As part of the fun of the SoccerFit Game Experience, the team are encouraged to nominate a captain, preferably someone who hasn't been in that role before. It's intended to be a fun experience where you get to try your skills at motivating others, organising some tactics and getting people to work together. The captain can generally initiate lots of communication between players and this can help the team to play better.

Submit
6. No previous experience of playing socccer is required when participating in SoccerFit. True or False

Explanation

SoccerFit is perfect for beginners to work on their fitness, experience the fun of trying some exciting soccer drills and getting an experience of soccer that is non-contact and great fun - you'll get lots of chances to try your newly learned skills :-)

Submit
7. When a SoccerFit Trainer refers to a passage of play in the Game Experience as being 'anti-football' what do they mean?

Explanation

The term 'Anti-football' may be used by the trainer to describe play during the game that might be considered 'lazy', or lacking in creativity. For most people, fast-moving one and two-touch soccer with lots of interaction between players on the same team makes for the most attractive type of football.

Submit
8. No studded footwear or football boots are allowed at SoccerFit. True or False

Explanation

This is a measure designed to enhance the safety aspect of the SoccerFit Game Experience. Some turf shoes with soft rubberised nodules may be acceptable - please discuss with the trainer

9. When calling for the ball from another player, is it recommend that you...

Explanation

At SoccerFit, we encourage you to practise some of the key communication aspects of team-play during all drills. Often the best practice is to be clear and quite assertive when seeking a pass from another player. A raised voice is also strongly advised because of the constant background noise during a game. And say it quickly too...remember the game can move at a fast exciting pace.

Submit
10. How many touches (i.e. with the feet), including the final pass or relase of the ball, are participants in the SoccerFit Game Experience allowed?

Explanation

This is a great way to practise one of the most important features of soccer - passsing - and it keeps things moving which is great for fitness.
