5 quarter units for a class = 5 hours of lecture (or reading) and 10 hours for homework per week.

In a summer session, the 15 total hours double to 30.

Make sure you have enough enough hours in the week to complete all the tasks, including non-graded and graded (deliverables) work. Othewise, it is highly suggested that you consider taking the class in a future term, when you do have the time.

ALL work officially runs from Monday through Friday (12 noon). All work should be front-loaded to the early part of the week to then have enough time to ask for and get help (from both instructor, assistants, and classmates) before the weekend.

The deadlines that fall on weekends are for the convenience of those who may find them useful. But please DO NOT rely on help during weekends.
