The Brahman cattle is an American breed of zebuine beef cattle which was bred in the United States from cattle originating from India and imported at varying times from the United Kingdom as well as Brazil. It has high resistance to parasites and has been exported to many countries especially in the Tropics as it is the most numerous breed of cattle in Australia. It has also been used to create numerous taurine-indicine hybrids.
