Whats Your Classical Voice Type? (Female Voices) - Quiz

What classical female voice should you have?

You May Get

Soprano

Whether dramtic, lyric, or coloratura, you're the Prima Donna, and you make sure everyone knows it. Arguably, soprano repertoire is the most difficult and most demanding (unless you count tenor pieces...) vocally, sometimes calling for notes so stratospheric they seem almost inhuman. But that's the thing about sopranos; as long as they can get out that high F, no one really cares what it sounds like. Sopranos always get the guy, and when the fat lady sings, she's usually singing soprano. Forget about those mezzos and contraltos accusing you of being over-ambitious, back-stabbing, or even downright stupid; they're just jealous, like the rest of the world. Sopranos see soubrettes as their proteges, but don't get along well with anyone else, save perhaps tenors. Some advice: no matter how good you think you are, or how high you can go, make sure you learn to sight-read. Sopranos are a dime a dozen, and if you can't read, no one's going to hesitate to throw you back into the pool.

Soubrette

You may be a young soprano or a high mezzo, but either way, you're always treated like a child, and you hate it. Playing the coquettish, sexually coercive girl is beginning to wear on your nerves, but at least it gives you the chance to show off that beautiful, light, lyrical tone. No, you may not be able to belt out high C's with the floridity of a coloratura, but your middle-high range is just crystal clear, and people have always adored you for it. People may call you stupid (more often than a full-fledged soprano, even) or even promiscuous, but pay them no mind. You won't be a soubrette forever. Hopefully.
