I don't really have any extra room, but I'll give them some money to stay in a hostel and help them find a new place to live ASAP.

Pull out the spare mattress I have for just such an occasion and tell them they are welcome to live with me for as long as they want.

Offer to let them crash on my couch while they get back on their feet.

I'll help them find a vacant building and set up a squat there.
