What Style Of Photography Suits You?

1. The most important thing to you at the wedding is:

That everyone looks great and has a good time. You've carefully selected everything from the shoes to the ties and you know it will all come together perfectly.

To enjoy yourself. You don't want to stress, or worry, if things don't go as planed you're not going to let it bother you.

That everything goes completely according to plan. You've spent a long time planning this day and you want everything to fall into place. You'll do everything you can on your wedding day to keep things on track.

That your day is unique and has some personality. You want your guests to have a great time and remember go home with a sense of your style.

2. How much direction do you expect your photographer to offer you throughout your day?

Not much at all, I'd prefer to focus on my new spouse, family and friends throughout the day.

A moderate amount, I want to be sure that I'm aware of what the photographer needs and where I should be looking.

Lots. I want to be sure that I'm always aware when photos are being taken, and I'd like to ensure that my placement is perfect.

Lots of direction would be great - I want to look poised and elegant in these photos, and I want to be sure that we're pulling it off as a couple!

3. When you imagine what your favourite photo of the two of you will be, you imagine:

A nicely lit image of you and your new husband/wife smiling at the camera - looking stunning in your wedding attire of course.

Something different and quirky, maybe even with a stylized look such as texture or an antique finish.

A natural, genuine moment of the two of you - something that shows your true personalities and love for one & another.

An image with dynamic lighting and lots of drama - a perfectly posed photo with style.

4. You've been to other weddings where the photographer was right in the action, running around during the ceremony and flashing his lights all the time - you think this is:

So irritating. It's distracting for the guests and seems very inconsiderate and unnecessary. You would prefer if they were more discrete and careful not to be disruptive.

It's a little much - you can understand needing to set up lighting and use a flash, but you'd prefer if your photographer tried to be a bit more discrete.

Expected, the couple wants to ensure that every moment is captured, and the photographer should have free-rein of the ceremony site to ensure that nothing is missed.

A bit extreme, your ultimate photographer get the shots they needed, but be careful not to distract with flashes. A bit of movement is alright, but you don't want them to be disruptive.

5. How important is it to you that there are a collection of posed group photos of family and friends on your wedding day?

I'd like to have a few, maybe something a little different than your usual 'stand in a line and smile'.

Not very important, I might ask for a few since my parents would like it, but I don't want to spend much time on them at all.

Pretty important, I want to have some really well lit formal photos of me and my family- after all, it's not often we are all together in one place.

The formal photos are very important to me. I want formal pictures with both our families. Also, I know that it would mean a lot to my family too.

6. When the wedding is over and you receive your images you'd like them to:

Look like they were torn straight out of a magazine. This is your chance to look like a celebrity and you're gonna take it!

Be a combination of elegance and fun. You'd also like them to have some unique effects, something different and creative.

Be a true depiction of you as a couple, and capture real moments between the two of you. You'd like to be able to look through the photos and see the story of your day.

Be a great collection photos that show you and your spouse looking great. You'd love it if you were perfectly posed in most of your images, and you want some stunning formals of your family as well.

7. How comfortable, on a scale of 1-10, would you say that you are in front of a camera?
10 being extremely comfortable: you love having your picture taken!
0 being completely uncomfortable: you'd tend to brake out in an awkward smile and would rather not know your picture was being taken.

8. When everything is said and done, your ideal wedding album would:

Showcase your day from beginning to end - like a storybook filled with genuine smiles and real emotion.

Show you and your new spouse looking your best! Photos of you and your family are a must, and you'd love it if there was a photo of everyone who was invited.

Have a variety of images all with a creative element to them. You'd like a mixture of quirky and relaxed photos.

Be filled with stylish images that pack a punch! It's important that the images be fresh and strong, with funky lighting.

9. You've done a bit of research and seen some of your friends images from their weddings. If you think about it, you've been most drawn to and remember the images which:

They were both looking amazing and had great eye contact with the camera.

Had a quirky element and really seemed to have a unique perspective.

Showed the couple being themselves and/or captured a moment between them.

Were stunning and stoic - the couple looked simply perfect.
