So You Think You Know Doctor Who?

Although Amy was brought aboard because her life didn't make sense, and the Doctor could not figure out how Wilf fit into his life, he did, eventually, find the answers to both. River Song, however, was finally revealed to be the daughter of Amy and Rory, conceived aboard the TARDIS on their wedding night, and with some very unusual abilities as well (6: "A Good Man Goes to War").

Although Eccleston only stayed for 13 episodes and Colin Baker was fired after two series, the shortest on-screen time in the role belongs to Paul McGann with, count it, only one episode.

Regeneration, being the way Time Lords cheat death, usually occurs with a catastrophic injury, but the only one not told (I'm not talking about Tennant to Smith here) is the 8th one, from McGann to Eccleston.

First spoken by Ian to Barbara, the pilot episode, "An Unearthly Child," was the first use of the title of the show as a spoken line.

When he first saw "The Talons of Weng Chiang" as a kid, that inspired David Tennant to follow acting as a career. The classic series was cancelled before he had the shot, but, with the New Series, he finally was able to play the role of his childhood dream.

Although Eccleston was the first to face the question in the series, the real reason the characters of Tegan and Nyssa, companions to Davidson, wore such cocoon-like outfits for the first part of their travels was because the producers didn't want people to think that such a young Doctor could. It later turned out to be a null point as they found out people were imagining that anyway.

The three redheaded companions were Mel, Donna Noble and Amy Pond. Out of the three, only Mel appeared with two of the Doctors above, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy, being there when the Doctor regenerated into McCoy. Donna Noble traveled with Tennant for a while, although he only partially regenerated, and Amy Pond traveled with Smith.
