The correct answer is "All of the above". The explanation for this is that the uniforms were changed in 2005 to not only have a distinctive visual look but also to be made of more durable and lightweight material. Additionally, the uniforms were designed to evaporate more water or sweat, making them more comfortable for the players. Therefore, all of these reasons contribute to why the uniforms were changed.

Since the 2020 football season, the Missouri Tigers football team has been coached by Eliah Drinkwitz.

The only feature that hasn't changed is the stripe — and the tradition will live on, according to University of Missouri Athletics. In 2009, the Missouri football team sported charcoal grey helmets for one game — the game against Kansas.

According to University of Missouri Athletics, the block "M" has been on the helmet since 1971. This will not be the case with the new helmets.
