Blocking software, by itself, will not keep your child safe from sending out personal information and putting your family at risk, among other things.
Just installing the program will help for a little while, but new viruses are spawning all the time. Update and run the software at least once each month.
There are people and programs which can “see” into your private correspondence online. NEVER send personal information unless you are positive it is a secure site.
