1. As a general rule, how do you make an ADJECTIVE into an ADVERB in Spanish?  It's a tricky one alright...

Explanation

Adding -MENTE will usually turn ADJECTIVES (which describe Nouns) into ADVERBS (which describe Verbs/Adjectives). In English, we usually add -ly to do the same thing.

Examples:
Exacto -> Exactamente (Exact -> Exactly)
General -> Generalmente (General -> Generally)
Normal -> Normalmente (Normal -> Normally)

7. When David drinks a lot of alcohol, he...

Explanation

David tiene sueño, "David is sleepy" (Literally "David has sleepiness")

He is sueño because he wants to sleep. He isn't cansado, because he hasn't been running or doing something that would make him physically tired.

Also, TENER (to have) is used instead of ESTAR (to be) because Sueño is a NOUN, not an ADJECTIVE.

BAILAS (from BAILAR- to dance) and COMES (from COMER- to eat) are in the second person singular (You).

VIVIMOS (from VIVIR- to live) and COMEMOS (from COMER- to eat) are in the first person plural (We).
