The most likely cause of the scratch on the body of Arnav's car would be a metal key. This is because metal keys are hard and can easily scratch the surface of a car's body. Sponge, eraser, and the skin of a dog are not typically hard enough to cause a scratch on a car. Therefore, the metal key is the most plausible explanation for the scratch.

Based on the given information, Arman is trying to guess what Arnav is thinking about. Arnav confirms that it is an animal and that its ear cannot be seen. Arnav also confirms that it lays eggs but does not have feathers. Based on these clues, the only possible option is a snake, as snakes are animals, their ears are not visible, they lay eggs, and they do not have feathers. Therefore, Arman's guess would be a snake.

Bursting firecrackers causes both air and sound pollution. Firecrackers release harmful chemicals and pollutants into the air, contributing to air pollution. The loud explosions also create high levels of noise pollution, which can be damaging to human health and disrupt the environment.

Desert plants often face extreme arid conditions, where water is scarce. To adapt to this environment, some desert plants have evolved to reduce water loss. One of the ways they achieve this is by reducing or completely eliminating their leaves. Leaves are the main site of transpiration, where excess water is lost through tiny openings called stomata. By lacking leaves, desert plants minimize the surface area available for transpiration, helping them conserve water and survive in their harsh surroundings. Therefore, the missing part in some desert plants that reduces water loss is leaves.

The correct answer is "pulling hand back on touching a stove" because it is a natural reflex that occurs without any previous learning. When the hand touches a hot stove, the body automatically pulls the hand back to avoid injury. This reflex is an innate response to protect the body from harm.

Washing hands regularly is the best method to decrease the chances of getting a cold because it helps to remove any harmful organisms, including the one that causes the common cold, that may have been picked up from touching surfaces. Switching on the fan, having a proper diet, and wearing warm clothes do not directly prevent the spread of the harmful organism that causes the common cold.

The correct answer is bird. The explanation for this is that birds are known to be natural predators of insects. When the brown snakes were brought to the snake-free island of Guam, they likely caused the destruction of bird populations. With the absence of birds, there was no longer a natural check on the insect population, leading to a rapid increase in their numbers.
