CERT will utilize the Ampho-Mag neutralizer to neutralize the spill. Once CERT determines that the spill is completely neutralized, CERT will ask Security to call the janitorial services to clean up and dispose of the material.
Contain substance if safely possible
Is the substance believed to be battery acid?
Gather information from the callerName, call-back phone number, exact location of spill (Site, Building, Bay/Aisle/Column Letter and Number, Department, Office Complex, etc.), what type of chemical or fluid, and how much fluid or chemical is spilt.
Notify Tactical Emergency Response Team (TERT)
Is contamination of the outside environment possible (drains, soil, waterways etc)?
Log information about the Spill during call if possible
