You May Get

You are: Callie

You are: Calliope (nicknamed ‘Callie’ in the book), the Muse of epic poetry. In Random Magic, Callie is the firstborn of the nine sisters. She writes all the time, has an infinite library, and knows every writer who ever was or ever will be born. Her fiery red hair represents the power of imagination and creative ability, and the courage to see beyond what is to what could be. Her Greek name (Kalliope) means "beautiful-voiced", and she was historically credited with being Homer’s muse, and the inspiration for the Iliad and the Odyssey. Her son Orpheus was famous for his musical and lyrical ability, and called “the father of songs.” In artworks depicting Calliope (Callie), she's always seen with a writing tablet in her hand. At times, she's depicted carrying a roll of paper or a book, or wearing a gold crown, to signify her incomparable talent in writing, and her role as the oldest and wisest of the Nine Muses.

You are: Clio

You are: Clio, Muse of history. In Random Magic, Clio is only mentioned by name, and we don’t meet her, as she’s off somewhere with her magical globes and maps, trying to sort out history. In artworks depicting Clio, she's often portrayed carrying or reading a scroll.
