Back in August, when Syria was defiantly stockpiling chemical weapons and it looked like a U. S. -led bombing was imminent, the website UsVsTh3m posted a new Web game called “Where’s Damascus? ” which challenged players to locate the targeted city. Most players couldn’t find Syria on a map—including, embarrassingly, many players logging on from Pentagon servers! UsVsTh3m reported that only 57 percent of them successfully pinpointed Damascus.
