The Glycerine bar soap would have the longest shelf life of all of the above products. This is because the product has a ph level (produced by the various oils and acids that occur naturally in the soap, which discourage any microbial growth).
The product with the shortest shelf life is the hand lotion. This is due to the water that is mixed into the oils and waxes. Any time a water is introduced into a product the shelf life diminishes.

Many Apple Blossom Naturals products will last for many months or over a year, such as our bar soaps which have are ph balanced to discourage microbial growth.
However, we give a shelf life for all of our products of 3-6 months, to encourage your customers to always purchase fresh cosmetics to use. The freshest most natural cosmetics are always the healthiest.

We first select our ingredients from our own personally produced agriculture. We are constantly striving toward growing and producing our agriculture program in an effort to offer as many personally grown ingredients as possible.
After we have exhausted our own abilities, we reach out to our local community producers. From there we continue to branch out until our needs are filled. We are very particular and careful in the companies we choose to work with, to ensure all of our ingredients are produced under our high standards of quality.

Our products may be used by aromatherapy professionals, however, our products have not been evaluated by the FDA for the purpose of aromatherapy use, and therefore we are unable to sell ABN products as such.

For example, it is common knowledge within the aromatherapy community that lavender essential oil has many benefits including inducing a calming sensation. Most of our baby products contain lavender essential oil. However, because our products have not been evaluated, tested and approved for aromatherapy uses, we are unable to state that the products containing lavender will have a calming effect.

Our products are never tested on animals. Our own pet line was tested on humans before we used them on animals. We will never test our products on animals, and will forever be cruelty free.

Many products labeled BPA-Free, especially in the cosmetic world, contain the sister of BPA: BPS, which has just as many negative side effects as BPA. We at Apple Blossom Naturals keep the highest standard possible, and therefore our products are not only BPA and BPS free, but they are free from ALL synthetic hormone disruptors.

The correct answer is 100% natural ingredients. This means that all the ingredients used in Apple Blossom Naturals products are completely natural, without any artificial or synthetic additives. This implies that the products are made with only natural and organic ingredients, which can be considered safer and healthier for consumers.

Apple Cider Vinegar has all of the above properties due to its high naturally occurring malic and acetic acid content.
Our Extra Care line, and any product with the letters ACV in their title utilize Apple Cider Vinegar as part of their functionality.

*According to the FDA, we are unable to say our ACV products are anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, or anti-viral. However, we may state that Apple Cider Vinegar contains these properties and is infused within the product.

We do not use parabens in any of our products. Parabens are commonly known hormone disruptors, which we do not use in any of our products.

Lavender is commonly considered the safest essential oil that can be applied directly to the skin. It has soothing and calming properties, making it a popular choice for relaxation and promoting sleep. Lavender oil is also known for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, making it beneficial for various skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and burns. Its gentle nature and versatility make it a widely used essential oil in aromatherapy and skincare products.

An extremely high percentage of cosmetics sold in the U.S. are made with ingredients or packaging from China.
Apple Blossom Naturals does not purchase any ingredients from China and all of our packaging is purchased from U.S. manufactures.

We are particular about not purchasing from China because of the difficulties in monitoring their production and agricultural processes. Because we are unable to guarantee the quality and health of chinese ingredients, we do not use any of them in our products.

Tocopherol (Vitamin E) is actually not considered a preservative. It helps extend the shelf life of our products, but it is technically not a preservative.

Our products may cure skin conditions. However, our products have not been through the rigorous and expensive testing the FDA requires for us to claim that our products cure any condition. Therefore, as consultants we are unable to state to our customers that ABN products "cure" "treat" or "prevent" any condition. *See the FDA doc in the group FB page for more information

ALL of our products are non-toxic. *It is never recommended you consume any of our products, however, they are all non-toxic, and generally would only cause an upset stomach if consumed. (This is not the case for those with allergies to any of the ingredients).

Many companies sell their products touting that the only natural fragrance occurs in essential oils, and all other fragrance comes from synthetic fragrance.

This is, however, false. At Apple Blossom Naturals we utilize what are commonly known as 100% natural flavor oils. These oils are more commonly used in natural foods and drinks. However, we found that in using all natural flavor oils, there are some oils which maintain their natural aroma and are great sources for exotic, less common fragrances. This has caused much confusion for companies who are still under the impression that only essential oils contain natural occurring fragrance. However, our all natural flavor oils, though many times less potent than essential oils, do indeed impart a beautiful luxurious all natural fragrance.

This is true! Carmine is a color that comes from crushing up the cochineal bug, a native beetle of Asia. All of our products at Apple Blossom Naturals are free from carmine.

Our products have not been certified gluten free. We therefore do not label our products gluten free. However, we do not use wheat, barley or rye in any of our products.

This label is many time used by companies who would like to mislead consumers into believing they are purchasing a product with only or mostly organic ingredients. However, this label only states that the product has at least 2 or more certified organic ingredients. In a product with a list of 20 ingredients, only 2 within the product is very little.

Unless the label of a certified organic product specifies that it is 100% organic, the USDA only requires that 95% of its ingredients are organic. This means that a product that is certified organic, may may not be 100% natural. It could be only 95% organic and natural, and contain 5% worth of chemicals and other synthetic ingredients, such as preservatives, allergens, cancer causing ingredients, petrochemicals, etc.

The above labeling information is many times misused by companies trying to encourage customers into believing they are purchasing an all natural product, or a product made with mostly or some natural ingredients.
Unfortunately, the FDA does not regulate the terms "natural" when used in cosmetics. Therefore labeling like the one above, does not always mean you are purchasing a product with any natural ingredients in it.

Ambiguous labeling is a major problem in the cosmetic world, including the natural and organic market. Many companies label their soap as "all natural soap" or "100% natural soap." However, after reading the ingredient list you will see artificial fragrance and/or coloring as part of the ingredients. How can this be possible? The all natural soap bar itself is considered to be a soap product. The soap product is therefore all natural. However, the soap product then has artificial dyes and fragrance added to it. When labeling the product, "100% natural soap" the companies claim they are merely referring to the soap product, which do not include the additional ingredients. It is always suggested you see a full ingredient list of a product to be certain it is all natural. Apple Blossom Naturals does not use any artificial dyes or fragrances in our products.

All of the above are examples of 100% Natural colorants we use in Apple Blossom Naturals soaps. We never use any synthetic colorants of any kind.

This can be confusing to both consultants and customers, because generally we associate the term "cosmetic" with "makeup."

However, the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act) defines cosmetics by their intended use, as "articles intended to be rubbed, poured, sprinkled, or sprayed on, introduced into, or otherwise applied to the human body...for cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance" [FD&C Act, sec. 201(i)]. Among the products included in this definition are skin moisturizers, perfumes, lipsticks, fingernail polishes, eye and facial makeup preparations, cleansing shampoos, permanent waves, hair colors, and deodorants, as well as any substance intended for use as a component of a cosmetic product.

Any products intended to treat, cure or prevent a disease or condition, would instead be considered a drug, which would require extensive costly testing.

Therefore, all of the products ABN offers (excluding pet products) fall into the legal category of cosmetics.
