While coaches should always be enthusiastic, energetic, prepared and on time, they should first and foremost be concerned with the safety of the children in their session.

Under no circumstances should children be out of your site when they are with you.

If the kids are not excited when they see you, they should be. Remember, this program is supposed to be fun for them.

The N Zone Jr. Curriculum should be delivered by a coach in an age-specific manner because it is designed to cater to the specific needs and abilities of children at different stages of development. By tailoring the delivery of the curriculum to the age group of the participants, the coach can ensure that the content is appropriate, engaging, and effective in promoting learning and skill development. This approach recognizes the importance of considering the unique characteristics and capabilities of each age group in order to maximize the impact of the curriculum.

Always show respect and keep a good relationship with the center staff.

This technique allows you, as a coach, to quickly gain control of your class. Be careful not to overuse it.

During Session #1 of a T-ball program, it would be logical to first teach the 4-year-old which hand they prefer to use for throwing. This is important as it helps them establish their dominant hand. Once they have determined their dominant hand, they can then be taught the proper throwing form, which includes the correct grip, arm motion, and follow-through. Finally, after they have mastered the proper throwing form, they can be introduced to the concept of aiming at a target when throwing the ball. This progression allows the child to develop their fundamental skills in a logical and sequential manner.

The weekly core values of the N Zone Jr. program are Self Confidence, Focus, Self Control, Drive, Sportsmanship, and Effort. These values are important for the development of young individuals in sports and life. Self Confidence helps them believe in their abilities, Focus helps them concentrate on the task at hand, Self Control teaches them discipline and restraint, Drive motivates them to work hard and achieve their goals, Sportsmanship teaches them to be fair and respectful towards others, and Effort emphasizes the importance of putting in hard work and giving their best in everything they do.

In the event of an incident involving an injured child during a session, it is important to prioritize their safety and well-being. Stopping the program and immediately assessing the situation allows for a proper evaluation of the injury. If there has been an injury, halting the session and bringing the child, along with the rest of the class, to the care of an administrator ensures that they receive appropriate medical attention. Completing an incident form and reporting it to the center manager or an administrator prior to leaving the premise helps to document the incident and ensure that proper follow-up actions are taken.
