The flute in A Link to the Past will not take Link to The Lost Woods. In the game, the flute allows Link to summon a bird that can transport him to different locations. However, The Lost Woods is a maze-like forest area that cannot be accessed using the flute.

When found in his house, he infamously tells Link, "I AM ERROR!"
