In Noongar (Australian Aboriginal language), kylie is a flat curved piece of wood similar in appearance to a boomerang that is thrown when hunting for birds and animals.Instead of following curved flight paths, kylies fly in straight lines from the throwers. They are typically much larger than boomerangs, and can travel very long distances; due to their size and hook shapes, they can cripple or kill an animal or human opponent.
