Τηλεμάχεια Ενότητες 3, 4 - Οδύσσεια Α΄ Γυμνάσιου

Την παρουσία της Αθηνάς – Μέντη στο παλάτι του Οδυσσέα την αντιλαμβάνεται πρώτος ο Τηλέμαχος.

Η φιλοξενία ήταν ιερός θεσμός, ο οποίος προστατευόταν από τον Δία. Έτσι, οι άνθρωποι τηρούσαν τους κανόνες της φιλοξενίας με ιερή προσήλωση και επειδή τιμούσαν το θεσμό ως κοινωνική αξία και επειδή σέβονταν το θεό που τον προστάτευε.

Ο άνθρωπος, στην Οδύσσεια, κρατά στα χέρια του την ευθύνη για τη ζωή του, ορίζει την τύχη του και δεν είναι έρμαιο στα χέρια των θεών ή της Μοίρας. Έτσι, ο Οδυσσέας, καθώς είναι προικισμένος με τόσο εξαιρετικές ικανότητες (πολυμήχανος), θα καταφέρει να υπερπηδήσει κάθε δυσκολία.

Ο Τηλέμαχος, στη συνομιλία του με την Αθηνά, κατακρίνει την απρεπή, αλαζονική και προκλητική συμπεριφορά των μνηστήρων.

Σε αυτή την σκηνή του δείπνου των μνηστήρων, παρακολουθούμε μια σύναξη ανεύθυνων ανθρώπων, οι οποίοι δεν ενδιαφέρονται για τίποτε άλλο, παρά μόνο για το φαγητό, το πιοτό και τη διασκέδασή τους.

Ο αοιδός Φήμιος αντιπαθεί τους μνηστήρες και τους υπηρετεί με το ζόρι. Κατά συνέπεια, τους τραγουδά "από ανάγκη".
