What Ministry Salad Ingredient Are You? - Quiz

What ingredient do you add to the Ministry Salad? Each ingredient is import and each one unique. Perhaps you're the bowl that holds it all together, or the fork that does the work. You could be the dressing that adds the flavor, or maybe you're the nuts! Even though we are many ingredients, it takes all of us to toss up a great Ministry Salad! "The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink." 1 Corinthians 12:12

You May Get

The Bowl!

Bowls hold it all together! Bowls get the job done! Bowls organize, delegate, and make sure all the ingredients make it to the table in one nicely presented arrangement. Bowls keep everyone on track, on schedule, and on task. Without the bowl, it would just be one sloppy mess.

The Fork!

You’re a worker! Forks have the heart of a servant. You can’t possible enjoy the salad without the fork, but forks don’t usually get a lot of recognition. That’s because forks are often behind the stage. But that’s okay for most forks because forks are most often humble by nature. You may not always notice the fork when it is there, but you can bet everyone realizes when a fork isn’t there!  Forks can be stagehands, maintenance people, sound people, lighting experts, video people, computer geeks, contractors, and everything in-between. Some forks volunteer to do things that others would never consider, such as restocking the pews, painting the church, or building that new puppet stage! When we just don’t know the answer for something, we usually ask a fork. Forks know! Forks are smart! Unfortunately, for the fork, they are usually so dependable that they are all too often not celebrated as much as they should be. A good fork makes everyone else look good at what they do. Forks have to sometimes fight against feeling unappreciated and used. Try to remember, if it seems that people have come to just expect things from you, it is only because you are such a good dedicated fork. You have been faithful in your service for so long that people just expect excellence from you. The best forks usually struggle the most with the feelings of being used and unappreciated because when there is a job to do, you’re the one people want use. Take it as a compliment that people depend on you. You are living up to Ephesians 6:8 – Serve wholeheartedly as if you were serving the Lord. Since forks are such hard workers, they can sometimes take on too much. Forks need to be careful to take time for themselves and make time for their families. Thank you to all the forks out there! You are appreciated! Without you, all the other ingredients would fail, or at least get really REALLY sloppy. Never doubt that God has recognized you and has rewarded you!
