For my project/presentation I am evaluating how the Sorting Hat, the characters of the stories, and the test takers would sort themsleves into Hogwarts. Please answer each question as accurately as possible. Results will be used in the in-class presentation as an aid in visualizing how the Sorting could occur.

You see a close friend walking down the street with two people you don't know. How do you respond?

I call over to them, and join the friend and the two others in conversation for a while. Maybe you'll join the group after, maybe not.

Wonder what the friend is doing with those people, and how they all met. Why weren't you involved?

Run up and introduce yourself, and start animatedly making conversation. Maybe you can hang out with them, too!

Ignore them. They probably want to hang out with those people, and don't need to be bothered by you. Maybe you'll tell them you saw them later.

You are home alone and need to eat dinner. What do you do?

I order in from my favorite restaurant, and eat while surfing the internet.

I cook my own feast! I am a fantastic cook, and will serve up something complicated and delicious.

I go out to eat at a nice restaurant downtown. I can't cook myself, but I want to eat something good

I cook myself up something easy, like Ramen or Mac and Cheese, or I eat some leftovers. Yum!

When working on group projects, what part do you play?

I organize everything democratically, and make sure that every group member has a voice. I also mediate any problems that arise during the process.

I take the lead, coming up with the main idea and making sure that everybody stays on track. I'm a bit of a task master.

I split the group up, so each of us works on one specific piece of the project. It will all come together in the end.

I come up with the main idea and put it into action; my creativity helps give the project that extra oomph!
