A fashion maven. I keep an eye on the runways, know what's a fad and what's true style, and sometimes dictate both.

Old fashioned. My style tends to be a little out of date, and I go for comfort not modern whimsy.

A small but eclectic mix of friends and strangers interested in conversation on a wide range of topics.

A select group of cultured intellectuals and artists whom I know well.

A boisterous crowd of party goers who are out to have a good time.

Reading a book, sitting peacefully by myself, or just people watching.

Making a list of things to get done that I didn't get to during the week and then working my way through it systematically.

Going shopping!

Ivy Hisselpenny: It's all about the gossip, she also makes me laugh, and could anyone ask for a better shopping companion?

Madame Lefoux: She's easy to talk to and always comes up with nifty solutions, plus I can borrow her glassicals for the opera.

Professor Lyall: I'd find his air of quiet competence wonderfully relaxing, and he gives great advice on waistcoats.

Alexia Tarabotti: I'd find her practical approach to life invaluable, she'd help keep me grounded, and help clean out my closet.

5. With regards to the body, I'm most interested in:

Staying beautiful.

Staying physically fit.

Staying mentally fit.

Staying alive.

6. With regards to the mind, my primary interest is in:

Strategy: predicting the outcome of situations.

Observation: better understanding the behavior of others.

Application: practical solutions to my current situation.

Philosophy: complex mental manipulations.

7. I prefer the atmosphere of most gatherings to be:

Civilized, like a quiet dinner party, with a small string quartet and an exemplary host.

Indulgent, like a high tea, all about great food, hot beverages, and gossip.

Formal, like a public ball, with carefully selected food, dancing, and cards.

Fun, like a private rout, with lots of conversation, gambling, and drinks on the house.

8. I would call myself mainly:

A mechanic, I understand how things actually work, and seem to spend most of my time fixing what other people have built.

An inventor, I'm concept driven and creative by nature. I will build it myself if I have to, but I'd rather pay someone else, and move on to the next project.

A performer, I'm accolade driven. I like to get things done, spectacularly, and be duly praised for it.

An engineer, I'm interested in the way things work and how to get them made most efficiently. Praise and creativity are second to functionality and achieving my goal.

9. The character I most identify with is:

Lord Akeldama or Countess Nadasdy: I'm an old soul with a predilection for frivolous things, but an undercurrent of political interest.

Lord Maccon or Professor Lyall: I'm old enough, but the point is to get the job done by whatever means necessary.

Ivy Hisselpenny or Madame Lefoux: I have my own agenda, and will go to great lengths for the people I love, but in the end I care very little for the fate of the world around me.

Alexia Tarabotti or Floote: Things seem to happen to me and I deal with them, but I don't like it when they make life untidy.
