If you are using Windows, you can find out your IP address by following these simple steps: 1) If you want to check your public IP address, all you must do is open your browser which can either be Yahoo, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, and type the words “my IP”. You will then be able to see your IP address which is visible to the internet, 2) If you want to check your private IP address, click the start button, type in cmd, and then hit enter.
You will then be able to see the command prompt. Once there, just type in ipconfig and then hit enter. Look for the IPv4 Address and you will be able to see your private IP address.
