It is difficult to make sure your dog does not eat anything it is not supposed to. Sometimes, you may drop something on the ground and the family dog will quickly eat it in a matter of seconds before anyone can pick it back up. Grapes and raisins are one of those things that dogs should not eat. They can be harmful and deadly if the dog eats a large quantity of grapes. First, the dog will feel ill. It may vomit and have stomach pains as a result. Also, the dog may stop using the bathroom and his breathing may be different.

The best thing to do is to make sure that the dog does not have access to grapes. If the dog does eat the grapes, the dog should be taken to a vet for care.
