Virginia Woolf wrote “To the Lighthouse”. Unlike a lot of novels that we might read today, there is little dialogue in the book. There’s also very little plot to the book, so that is considered static. (Static is when nothing changes, and dynamic, in terms of books and things, is when the character or something changes.)

The book, for all its unusual pieces and unusual devices that would be considered lazy today, is considered to be one of the best novels written since 1923, and is one of the best novels from the 20th century. There have been few books written like it.
Virginia Woolf also wrote “Mrs. Dalloway” and “The voyage Out”, as well as a slew of other books.
