Commercially, there are various ways to make fruit gushers and we won't ever know the true recipes used by companies but there is an easy way to make them at home. You need to know two different recipes for making them. The first is the recipe for Jell-O and the second is the recipe for fruit concentrates or puree.

First, make a puree of whatever flavor you want. Take a part of the puree and put in a piping bag. Put the rest of puree in a saucepan and add a warm mixture of water and gelatin and mix thoroughly. Take an ice mold and put a thin layer of gelatinous puree and keep in the freezer for thirty minutes. After that, pipe in a little puree and cover with more of the gelatinous puree. Freeze this for about four hours and your gushers are ready

Fruit Gushers are a fruit snack with a liquid filled center that gushes into your mouth when you bite into them. Just like all fruit snacks they are primarily made of sugar. They also contain concentrated fruit juice that actually contributes to the sugar content even further. The centers of fruit gushers are a thick sweet liquid and the outsides are basically a chewy gelatinous sugar.

Many people might find fruit gushers to be a good snack but you should not think that they are healthy for you to eat. Fruit gushers are no healthier than any other sugary gummi snack and should be treated as such.
