Bed bugs have slowly built up an immunity to pesticides over the years as a form of self-defense. With the insect’s immune system getting stronger, pesticides have gotten stronger and more toxic. Many families have become more aware of what they are bringing into their homes and how safe it is to themselves, pets and children, which make them search for at-home alternatives for taking care of insects.
One home remedy for removing bed bugs is rubbing alcohol. The rubbing alcohol dissolves the insects cells, while also being a desiccant (drying agent) and will kill the bed bugs by drying them out.
