The Jungle Book was Rudyard Kipling’s book which was made into a popular animated feature film by the Disney studios. Born Joseph Rudyard Kipling on December 30, 1865 in Bombay, Bombay Presidency, British India, he became one of the most popular writers not only in the United Kingdom but across the globe. Plain Tales from the Hills in 1888, Many Inventions in 1893, The Day’s Work in 1898, Just So Stories for Little Children in 1902 and Debits and Credits in 1926. His book entitled The Jungle Book which was published in 1894 was adapted into a Disney animated film in 1967 starring Phil Harris, Sebastian Cabot, Louis Prima and George Sanders, to name a few.
