There are three beds which Goldilocks try and sleep in Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Before we discuss about that famous story, it is just right to say that there is an original version of this story entitled: The Story of the Three Bears written by Robert Southey.
This original story is different than what we all know now as Goldilocks and the Three Bears because the person who ate the porridge, sat and broke one of the chairs and sleeps on the bed is an old woman with a silver hair. It was only in 1849 when Joseph Cundall changed the character of the old woman to a pretty young girl with golden hair – Goldilocks – wherein she tried to sleep on three beds, but ended sleeping on the youngest bear’s bed.
