The continent which is also a country is letter B or Australia. The Australian continent goes by other names such as Sahul, Meganesia and Australinea. It is different from the Australian mainland as the continent comprises of the Australian mainland, New Guinea, Tasmania, Seram, Timor and other neighboring islands. It covers an area of 8,600,000 square kilometers and has a total population of more than 36 billion people.

The Australian country or mainland, on the other hand, is the land or area which constitutes the Commonwealth of Australia. It has a total area of 7,692,024 square kilometers amd with a total population of more than 24 billion people. The country of Australia is the largest country in Oceania and is the 6th largest country in the world in terms of area.
