The six essential elements of geography are as follows: The world in special terms, places and regions, literacy, human systems, environment and government. If we are to read geography books, we will find out that geography is divided into six (6) elements and these elements are: 1) The world in spatial terms, 2) Places and Regions, 3) Physical Systems, 4) Human Systems, 5) Environment and Society; and 6) The Uses of Geography. Now, we will discuss each given answers so we can easily understand each of them.

1. The world in special terms falls under “The World in Spatial Terms” because it refers to the absolute and relative location of a place. Absolute meaning where a place is exactly located using latitude or longitude and relative meaning the physical address of the place;
2. Places and regions falls under “Places and Regions” wherein the former refers to the physical characteristics of a place and the human characteristics of the people who are living in a certain location, and the latter refers to the natural characteristics of a place such as climate and landscape, and its cultural characteristics such as its language, government and religion;
3. Literacy falls under “The Uses of Geography” because it refers to how people understand their relationship with each other and their environment and what they can do to make use of this knowledge to change their future;
4. Human systems refers to people, ideas and goods;
5. Environment and 6. Government fall under “Environment and Society” because these two refer to how we affect the environment and vice versa.
