Application layer-network file system (nfs) is a network file system protocol originally developed by sun microsystems in 1984,[1] allowing a user on a client computer to access files over a network in a manner similar to how local storage is accessed. nfs, like many other protocols, builds on the open network computing remote procedure call (onc rpc) system. the network file system is an open standard defined in rfcs, allowing anyone to implement the protocolsql (structured query language) (pronounced /skjul/)[1] is a database computer language designed for managing data in relational database management systems (rdbms). its scope includes data query and update, schema creation and modification, and data access control. sql was one of the first languages for edgar f. codds relational model in his influential paper, a relational model of data for large shared data banks.[2] and became the most widely used language for relational databases
