NTFS and FAT are usually seen on storage devices such as a USB stick or an external hard drive. These are the type of storage that you want to. Both are effective on saving your files but also have differences. It is impossible to compress files on Fat(32) but it can be done on NTFS. It is easy to recover and encrypt compressed files on NTFS.

For memory cards and mp3 players, FAT is advised to use while more elaborate and complex files are recommended on NTFS. As more important files saved on NTFS have stronger security and performance. On NTFS, computer admins have more control on disk space and disk quota for the system.
