Mitochondrion is the part of the eukaryotic cells that is found in the cytoplasm of the cells. These cells have a nucleus. There are other parts inside the cells including the mitochondrion. They are usually in the shape of an oval. The energy that is performed in the cell is called adenosine triphosphate. First, the electrons are in the citric acid cycle where they make the energy in the form of ATP.

The electrons are in the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide and move them through the cell of the electron transport chain to the oxygen. Then the oxygen becomes water. During this process, the donors that are the electrons transfer the energy to the acceptors. This process is quite complex in nature.
