Histograms are often seen and used in math classes. They are graphs that look like a bar graph where the bars are vertical. It shows each set of data in numerical terms. Karl Pearson created the first histogram. If you want to make a histogram, first you must determine what intervals you are going to establish. The intervals could be by fives or tens or whatever number you choose.

Then you need to determine the number of values that go into each set of numbers. The intervals are also called bins. These histograms are used for probability because they show probability distribution. Quality control uses histograms because it is considered to be one of the seven basic tools of quality control.
