Hypoxia is known to be a condition wherein there isn’t enough oxygen that the tissues are receiving. This is a dangerous condition because people who experience this begin to feel like they cannot breathe. There are different reasons why people may experience this condition but the most common cause is lung trauma.

Trying to cough will only worsen the condition and will only be bad for the lungs. Other lung conditions can also cause this condition. One of the first signs of this condition is restlessness or even confusion. People may begin to be disoriented or not know what they are experiencing. A client that suddenly become restless may be experiencing this condition.

Restlessness

Restlessness is an early indicator of hypoxia. The nurse should suspect hypoxia in unconscious client who suddenly becomes restless.
