Both tap water and bottled water are taken from the rivers, streams, and lakes, and it is then filtered through sand and gravel. Chemicals are combined with tap water to purify it. There are set government standards for tap water, while there are no set government rules for bottled water.

When contamination occurs in tap water, the government has to report it. Bottled water may be demineralized prior to its distribution. Tap water has minerals and fluoride that are beneficial to people. The minerals in tap water include calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, copper, iron, selenium, chromium, and zinc.

Most of the time, bottled water is stripped of important vitamins and minerals. Bottled water is for drinking, while tap water has many uses, including washing dishes or brushing your teeth. Many people prefer the cleaner taste of bottled water; however, it is far more expensive than tap water.

There are different types of water, but most people will probably have access to tap water as this is the water that will come out from the faucet. There are some areas wherein water is considered to be clean even if it is straight from the faucet. There are some areas wherein the water would need to be filtered; otherwise, tap water is not going to be safe for drinking. Bottled water is the type of water that has already been filtered or distilled. Bottled water is normally more expensive than tap water. This is not only because of the process that the water has gone through but also because of the convenience of purchasing bottled water when you need to do so.

Tap water supplies are controlled by the Environmental Protection Agency, while the Food and Drug Administration regulates the bottled water industry. Tap water is thoroughly analyzed, and it is the water that comes into homes through pipes and reservoirs. There are government standards set up for tap water, as it does not contain toxic chemicals.

Filtration must be done in case tap water is procured from the surface of the pond, lake, or stream. One of the main advantages of tap water is that it is free for everyone, and all you need is a sink, a water fountain, or a Brita filter. However, many people favor the taste of bottled water because it does have a cleaner taste.

Bottled water comes in a plastic bottle which you can purchase from a store; although, bottled water does not go through any rigorous testing for the presence of germs. It is not checked for chemicals before distribution.

Tap water is the type of water that will normally come out of your faucet. There are still some countries wherein their tap water is still considered to be clean enough to drink directly from the faucet. Some would use minimal filters just to make sure that the water will be clean enough to drink.

Bottled water is usually water that has been processed enough so that it will be clean for most people. Babies would particularly need distilled bottled water so that they will not have any digestive issues. Bottled water can also be very helpful when you are far away from home and you are thirsty.

Water is the most important liquid on Earth. It is what our bodies require to function, and it is recommended that every person drinks eight glasses of water a day. When it comes to water, there are various sources that a person can choose from, including tap and bottled water. The tap comes from the sinks in homes and businesses. They come from reservoirs and are carried through pipes into the home. Local municipalities are in control of tap water. Bottled water can be found in stores. This type of water is packaged in bottles. Most people prefer bottled water because they feel it is safer.
