The fact there are no other interpretations that can be given to the two words other than the fact that a girl is a female child, the adolescent is still immature, or a young woman, while a woman is an adult female human.

While the above explanation is the most common meaning we have for the two words, regardless of the different societies that we have, there are other interpretations or meanings that people tend to have when using the two words. As I said, a girl is a female child, an adolescent who is still immature; however, this immaturity is not necessarily talking about the physical development of a female child, but also her mental capacity.

That is why a fully-grown person of female gender can still be called s girl because of her low mental and emotional capacity. However, a woman is considered to be a mature female human, both mentally and physically. Those who are above thirty years of age are usually called women.

A young female is a girl. This a female from birth and up unto the ages of 18, depending on the culture. A woman is an adult female, which in most cultures is when the female turns 18. One of the differences between the two is related to dependency. A girl would still live with their parents or guardian.

They will go to school and depend on their guardian for basic needs such as housing, food, and clothing. A woman is independent. They will work and be able to provide their own home, food, and clothing, as well as have their own form of transportation.

A young female human being is referred to as a girl. This is a term generally given to them right from their childhood ages till they grow to become adults. A girl is still known to be dependent on her parent for most of her needs, such as feeding, clothing, education, and shelter.

She is also subjected to the guidance of her parent, which most likely gets reduced as she grows. A girl is usually smaller in stature compared to a woman, and a girl grows to become a woman. Now conversely, an adult or grown human being is referred to as a woman.

Women are generally bigger is size when compared to girls, and must have reached puberty stage. A woman, most likely, is capable of handling life situations and take full responsibility for herself. There actually exists a stage where girls like to refer to themselves as ladies. This is like a stage between being a girl and being a woman.
