More often than not, it is very common to see people using the terms "energy" and "power" interchangeably, but the truth is they are not the same. Also, differentiating between the two can be a very difficult task since both are a bit similar in meaning. Power, on the other hand, is a concept that measures how fast energy is being used. Energy is what you distribute, and power is the might and speed at which you provide it. For example, a 100-watt bulb will use energy at a faster rate than a fluorescent bulb that only has the power of 10 watts. Power is the gauge at which energy is being used. The unit of energy is joules per second. It is only a measure of how fast energy is being consumed.
