Literature is considered to be a more general term. This can be used to describe different types of written works. There are also different genres that are available under literature. When you say fiction, this is one of the genres that are available.

When you say “literature,” this may not be the clearest thing that you can find. In fact, you may find this extremely confusing, especially when you do not know what type of literature you would like to read.

Fiction is clearer because there is a central theme that will be followed, which is to make sure that all of the characters that will be described in the story are based on the author’s imagination or a creative mind.
