There are differences between the types of philosophies that are available. Western Philosophy means that you would need to focus on the different parts that make up a general idea. This means that if you are looking into one topic, you can expect that there are going to be smaller aspects that you need to focus on.

When you check out Eastern Philosophy, this would require you to focus on the whole idea that you are looking at as a whole. Most of the time, Eastern philosophy will require you to check out the different similarities of varying ideas so that you will see how they are able to relate to each other.
