Dieticians, nutrition, and food experts encourage healthy eating habits. They are involved in research, development, and preparation of food that can give the person optimum levels of nutrition, and the ability to choose foods appropriately. They generally spend time as interns at a medical facility or hospital and assist in the preparation of food for patients.

They are recorded and accredited with a national board after they have passed the educational and professional obligations. Nutritionists are people who work as advisors. There are varying degrees one must-have for those who need formal training.

Gyms and sports facilities usually seek out nutritionists to work with those who may need help losing weight and balancing their food intake with exercise. These nutritionists are often teachers and examples of healthy eating. If you do not possess any health problems, and you are just trying to maintain your health, a nutritionist will often suffice.

Staying healthy is important to living a long and youthful life. Sometimes a person may stray away from a healthy lifestyle, but it is never too late to get back on track, especially with a little help. Two fields of people that can help with maintaining a healthy lifestyle are Dietitians and Nutritionists.

They both work in the field of health, but a dietitian is a licensed expert. There are extensive educational requirements for a person to become a dietitian.

The person must have a bachelor's degree, complete an internship, and pass an exam on the national level. To become a nutritionist, there are no educational requirements.

More often than not, we see people using the terms dietician and nutritionist as though they are the same. While there might be certain similarities between the two, their major differences lie in their different roles, designations, and responsibility. A nutritionist is anybody who has acquired any degree in nutrition.

In other words, the term nutritionist is used for a specialist or expert in nutrition. On the other hand, dieticians are those who have been licensed to operate as registered dieticians. With regard to the variation in the practices of different countries, a person must have a bachelor's degree or a post-graduate degree before he or she can be licensed as a dietician.

Being licensed or certified by the state board is an important requirement before someone can be called a dietician. In contrast, this is not a must for nutritionists once they have their bachelor's degree. Dieticians are trained professionals who can help you with information and practices that will solve your obesity problems. In contrast, nutritionists are ideal professionals who can give proper advice when it comes to a balanced meal and your health.
