There are some people who may assume that dextrose refers to the type of fluid that will contain sugar and sometimes some medications that are placed on an IV line. Dextrose, in the world of baking, is also known as corn sugar. This is the type of sugar that you can get from corn.

If you would check the biochemical components of dextrose and glucose, they may seem very similar to each other. Dextrose is a form of sugar. Sugar can be used to describe not only dextrose but also fructose, sucrose, and all the other forms of sugar that are not mentioned yet. People would like to avoid some types of sugar, but it can be a bit hard.
