The difference between Gray and Grey is just in the spelling. What do I mean by that? This simply means the two words have the same meaning, and they can also be used in the same context. This color is somewhat between white and black color, as the ash of an ember.

These words "grey and gray" can also mean gloomy or dreary. Another meaning for it has an uncertain, disputed, or indistinct quality. These words are also used to refer to older or aged people. Grey or gray color is also referred to as an achromatic color or a neutral color. The term "grey" had its first use in the English language around the year 700 AD.

Surprisingly, the opposite words for these words in view are still the same -grey or gray. However, gray is usually used more in the United States, while grey seems to be more generally acceptable, and gained more users around the world.
